Playing BrutalSol

BrutalSol follows a set of rules that govern gameplay, movement, and player interactions. This guide explains the fundamental mechanics of how to play the game.

Setting Up

  1. Connect Your Wallet: Use a Solana-compatible wallet like Phantom or Solflare to connect to the game.

  2. Create a Player: Initialize your player account to start your journey in BrutalSol.

Basic Gameplay Loop

BrutalSol follows a turn-based structure where players:

  1. Roll dice to move around the board

  2. Take actions based on the square they land on

  3. Manage resources and make strategic decisions

  4. Repeat the process to build their portfolio and influence in the game

Movement Rules

Dice Rolling

  • Click the "Roll Dice" button to move

  • The dice produces a random number between 1-6

  • Your player moves clockwise around the board by the number of spaces shown on the dice

  • You must wait at least 5 seconds between rolls

Board Navigation

  • The board consists of 21 squares (18 cities + 3 special locations)

  • Landing on different types of squares triggers specific events:

  • City: Option to mint units or pay rent

  • Jail: Player is detained until they meet release conditions

  • Bunker: Safe space that can be owned and provides shelter

  • Tax Authority: Manage tax points through filing or spending

Landing on Squares

When Landing on a City

  1. If no one owns units in the city, you can mint a unit

  2. If others own units, you must pay rent

  3. If you already own units, no action is required

  4. You can only mint one unit per visit to a city

When Landing on Jail (Square 3)

  1. Your movement is restricted

  2. You must choose an action: Pay bail, attempt a bribe, or wait

  3. Your vehicle type determines your waiting period if you choose to wait

When Landing on Bunker (Square 14)

  1. If unowned, you can purchase the bunker

  2. If owned by another player, you must pay rent

  3. You can damage the bunker using tax points

When Landing on Tax Authority (Square 10)

  1. You must take a tax action before you can move again

  2. Choose to either file taxes (gamble your tax points) or use your tax points

Resource Management

$BRUTE Management

  • Required for minting units, paying rent, and jail-related actions

  • Each transaction typically has a 5% protocol fee

  • Monitor your $BRUTE balance to ensure you can afford necessary actions

Tax Points

  • Earned at a rate of 100 tax points per 1 SOL spent

  • Can be used for city contributions or sabotage

  • Strategic resource for influencing city radiation levels

Game Progression

Advancement

  1. Acquire units across different cities

  2. Complete sets of cities for rent bonuses

  3. Progress through vehicle tiers as your total unit count increases

  4. Build a network of properties that generate passive rent income

Long-term Strategy

  • BrutalSol has no defined endpoint – it's an ongoing economic simulation

  • Your objective is to build a profitable portfolio through strategic decisions

  • Collaborate with or compete against other players to shape the game world

Game Etiquette

  1. Transactions: Be patient with transaction processing – blockchain confirmations can take time

  2. Community Collaboration: Consider forming alliances for mutual benefit

  3. Responsible Play: Remember this is a devnet game – assets have no real-world value

Technical Notes

  • If a transaction fails, wait a moment before trying again

  • The game state updates after each confirmed transaction

  • In case of disconnection, you can safely reconnect and continue playing

  • Use the dashboard to monitor your assets, vehicle type, and game stats

Remember that BrutalSol combines strategy, chance, and social dynamics. Your decisions not only affect your own success but also influence the broader game economy and experience for all players.
